Ghawari Suspension Bridge

Because, It is one of the populated agricultural town and oasis in Ghanche District, Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located on the Shyok River about 14 miles east of Sermik Kharmang and 45.5 miles southeast of Skardu Baltistan. There is also a wooden suspension bridge over the Shyok in the southeast of the town which leads to Kuroo and Ghawari remaining hamlets on the other side of the river.
Khaney Suspension Bridge
Khaney is a small village right side of Hushe river from going towards Hushe. The only source to connect Khaney village is this Suspension wooden bridge. This is a small but beautiful village. It has also magnificent mountains to climb and spectacular scenes to see. The villagers are desperately in need of quality education access. However, youth of the village are known for extraordinary recognition in hospitality industry throughout Pakistan. Most of the villagers has migrated to cities and que is still counting many.
Keris Valley Suspension Bridge
Keris valley is the gateway of district Ghanche. A pedestrian bridge driven a lot of talks and attentions on social media named as “door to heaven” is located in Keris valley. This valley has the oldest hydel power plant, mystical centuries-old canal build by yak horns, shoyk and Indus river meeting point, and shrines of Ameer Mir Mukhtar Akhiyar and Syed Ali Mosvi. This bridge is so beautiful, easy and safe to cross.
Skardu Shigar and Kharmang Suspension Bridges
Deosai National Park is a high-altitude alpine plain and National Park located in Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan. It is are situated at an average elevation of 4,114 metres above sea level and known as the second highest plateaus in the world. The park has a river name Bara Pani in middle of the plateau. The river have to cross to reach Sheosar Lake and then down to Astore District. Now this suspension bridge is not in use as there is a TCC bridge next to it.
Kachura Suspension Bridge
Kachura Suspension bridge is one of the spectacular suspension bridges in Pakistan. Though it is very short but has unique presence by it’s architectural style. This bridge has designed to stand over three stone and cemented pillars over big stones middle in the stream. The stream has never get mud and that is why the pillars are safe and looks too beautiful.
Kwardo Suspension Bridge
40 minutes drive from Skardu and approximately 20 mins drive from Gamba.
A good family picnic spot but all eatables must be taken along as no such facility is available.
It is a good place to spend a day along the bank of Indus River. Also, temperature these days is around -10 degrees.
Mehdi Abad Kharmang Suspension Bridge
A wooden suspension bridge collapsed in the Mehdi Abad Kharmang District during heavy snowfall. The bridge had been recently constructed and inaugurated in the month of July 2016. The collapsing of the bridge due to snowfall. Now this is properly refunctioned and in use of the locals.
Braldu Suspension Bridge Shigar
Braldu Suspension Bridge Shigar is one of the most dangerous and scary bridges in Baltistan Pakistan. This is not for jeeps and other vehicles but only for pedestrians. It is transportation means for not only the locals but also for general trekkers, mountaineers and porters.
AAlam Bridge Gilgit || Spectacular Suspension Bridges in Pakistan
Alam Bridge has constructed with a combination of iron rods and wood over the River of Gilgit, the Alam Bridge is one of the scariest bridges in the world. The bridge connecting Baltistan region to Gilgit and also the rest of the country is about 300 metres in length.
This wooden, wire suspension bridge over the Gilgit River was constructed by Chinese and Pakistani engineers in 1978. In view of its dangers, regional authorities are deployed at the bridge to ensure vehicles don’t exceed the speed limit. Additionally, trucks and loaded vehicles weighing more than 20 tons are not allowed to pass but now this has been replaced by RCC cum iron hanging bridge which has more capacity to cross and travel.
Hussaini Suspension Bridge Hunza
This rope bridge is both long and poorly maintained. Many planks are missing, and heavy winds shake the bridge as when you cross this. As of now, there is only one suspension bridge connecting the Hussaini Village with Zarabad (located across the Hunza River).
Despite its scary design, however the Hussaini is is a comparatively safe bridge and has become one of the most visited tourist attractions, with trekkers testing their mental and emotional ability as they watchfully work their path to across. It has high rate of visitors.
