Introduction The Shimshal Pass Trek is widely regarded as one of the most demanding and remote trekking adventures in Pakistan. Located deep inside the upper Hunza place of Gilgit-Baltistan, this trek isn't always for the faint-hearted. It takes you into the heart of the Karakoram, wherein towering peaks, tremendous glaciers, and untouched wilderness outline the landscape. Shimshal Village, regularly called the “Valley of Mountaineers,” has produced some of Pakistan’s best climbers. From this remote settlement, trekkers begin a tough journey in the direction of Shimshal Pass, crossing rugged terrain, high-altitude pastures, and glacial routes.
