The K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La Trek typically takes 15-20 days, including arrival and departure days. However it can be shorter even according to the trekkers’ requirement and physical strength.

3. What is the route from Islamabad to Skardu?

By Air: A direct flight from Islamabad to Skardu takes approximately 1 hour. Flights are weather-dependent and may face delays or cancellations. However in 2024 we observed one direct flight in a week from UAE to Skardu.
By Road: Traveling by road via the Karakoram Highway takes around 16-18 hours (approximately 600 km). The journey offers stunning views but can be physically demanding. Mostly, gives a stop overnight in Chilas or Naran.

Day 1: Trek from Askole to Jhula (20 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 2: Jhula to Paiju (21 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 3: Rest day at Paiju for acclimatization.
Day 4: Paiju to Khoburtse (20 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 5: Khoburtse to Urdukas (6-7 km, 4-5 hours).
Day 6: Urdukas to Goro II (12-14 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 7: Goro II to Concordia (12 km, 6-7 hours).
Day 8: Concordia to K2 Base Camp and return to Concordia (20-22 km, 8-10 hours).
Day 9: Concordia to Ali Camp (14 km, 6-7 hours).
