K-6 CHARAKUSA VALLEY TREK

K-6 Charakusa Valley Trek is one of the short, easier, and also more interesting treks in the Karakorum. So, K-7 and K-6 are famous peaks located in Chakarusa valley glacier in Hushe valley. K6, also known as Baltistan Peak, is in the Masherbrum area of the Karakorum mountains, while Leila Peak is the most beautiful peak of the Karakoram situated in Gandogoro valley.

Both trekking routes are easy and moderate. However, a bit hard than the Masherbrum Peak base camp trek. K-6 Charakusa Valley Trek gives you the most frequented approach to K6 Base Camp is from Hushe Valley. Because, the BC is on the north-west edge of the Nangmah glacier. The K-6-7 route is less traveled, and calm compare to the Laila Peak base trek.

The first-day hike is the same for both excursions up to Shaicho camp. Because, the left route goes to Gondogoro valley for Khiuspang Lela Peak site while to right side K-6 and 7. Trekking up to Khiuspang offers also a closed view of Leila Peak, K-1.

Khiuspang is the base camp of Gandogoro Pass on Hushe side. Having K-6 and K-7 trek would also provide you to see Link Sar, Drifica, Kapora peaks. K-6 Charakusa Valley Trek is economical and interesting as compare to Baltoro and other base camps treks. Because, the valley is surrounded by steep granite walls that seem to meet in the sky. Because the beauty of this place is incredible.

July 22, 2022

I had the pleasure of doing the K-6 Charajusa Valley Trek with Visit in Pakistan Tours in July 2022, and it was an incredible experience. The guides were knowledgeable and experienced, and the support staff made sure we were comfortable and well-fed throughout the trek. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with snow-capped peaks, glacial lakes, and crystal-clear streams at every turn. The trek was challenging but rewarding, and we made some unforgettable memories along the way. I would highly recommend this trek and Visit in Pakistan Tours to anyone looking for an adventure in the Karakoram range.

April 28, 2024

We had an opportunity to explore the northern mountains of Gilgit Baltistan. The confluence of Hushe Valley allowed this journey to stayed two nights at K6 and K7 Base Camp. This magnificent backdrop of beautiful mountains view from centered camped Base is worth to spend two nights. The crew of tour company Visit in Pakistan gave us the right package and fulfilled what they agreed with us. Appreciated their team work, professionalism and knowledge.
