Hunza, a remote mountain kingdom, is believed to have inspired James Hilton’s “Shangri-La.” This hidden gem opened up in the 1970s with the construction of the Karakoram Highway. Here, you’ll encounter the fair-skinned, light-eyed Hunzakuts, said to be descendants of Alexander’s lost soldiers. Their language, Burushaski, remains a linguistic enigma. The beauty of this paradise is unparalleled, from the delicate apricot blossoms to Rakaposhi (7788 m).

Beautiful place
Very interesting info!Perfect just what I was searching for!
This jeep safari tour sounds absolutely amazing — I haven’t personally tried it yet but based on the itinerary and the photos here, it looks like a truly unforgettable experience! Hunza Valley is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. On my first trip to Pakistan, I explored Hunza and wrote about my experience here if anyone’s interested. Would definitely recommend both this tour and doing some personal exploration — there’s just so much to see!
