Shangrila Resort Skardu

Shangrila Resort Skardu,also known as "HEAVEN ON EARTH" nestled amongst some of the worlds highest peaks. It encircles the heart shaped Kachura Lake, surrounded by fruit laden orchards and flower filled gardens. Satpara Lake

Satpara Lake (also called “Sadpara Lake”) is natural lake situated about 9 kilometers (5.59 miles) north of Skardu (the capital of Baltistan), in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. Situated at an altitude of 2,635 meters (8645 feet) the lake is reached after 20 minutes of jeep drive from Skardu.

Deosai National Park, Skardu

Explore the untouched nature with a hike through Deosai National Park--at 4,114 m (13,497 ft) above sea level, the world's second-highest plain. The snow cover that lasts much of the year makes access rather difficult, but in spring and summer it comes alive with an endless sea of alpine flowers. The area is known for its wide variety of both plant and animal species, from colorful butterflies to marmots and wild horses. Make sure to bring lots of water and take your trek slowly, since the high altitude makes breathing a bit harder. 

Cold Desert

The Katpana Desert- a wonder in the North of Pakistan. The fascinating thing about this desert is that it is a cold desert with strong winds bashing the sand dunes. The sand that is white, granular and very fine is as spectacular as the desert regions in any part of the world.

Shigar Valley

Beautiful valley in proximity of Skardu city, easily accessible by road. Offers great views of mountains and fields, rich rural and distinct culture of Baltistan, an amazing fortress turned into a boutique hotel. Shigar is rich in fruits such as cherries, apricot, apples. The architecture is very special and unique, the mosque just outside the Shigar fortress is a fine sight.

Khaplu Valley

Khaplu is a very beautiful and scenic place in Gilgit Baltistan, Northern areas of Pakistan.  Khaplu is famous for its cultural beauty, natural feel, and diverse tradition. Gilgit-Baltistan’s Ghanche district stands almost aloof with its beautiful valleys and settlements inhabited by the most hospitable locals and river irrigated lands. The central location in the district is Khaplu, which is a beautiful landscape with high summits, flowing blue waters, and waterfalls.

Manthokha Waterfall

Manthokha Waterfall (Balti:منٹھق چھوپھیار) is a waterfall located in Kharmang Valley, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, the extreme northern region of Pakistan. This waterfall is approx 180 feet high from ground, and located 78 kilometres (48 mi) away from downtown Skardu.
